The summits of Jakobspitze and Tagewaldhorn lie in the midst of the Sarntal Alps. The landscape is extremely pristine and wild. The mountain route to both summits offers all the attributes of an impressive mountain experience. The summit ascent via the ridge to Jakobspitze as well as the descent to the Flaggerscharte Hut (formerly Marburger Hut) require sure-footedness and a head for heights. The ascent to Tagewaldhorn is somewhat sweaty and steep in the final section. The small and very cozy Flaggerscharte Hut is an ideal base and invites for a longer rest.

A wild valley, a shapely peakThis climb may be long, but it is beautiful and varied. The lonely, wildly romantic Flaggertal valley with its mountain forests, granite walls, waterfalls and idyllic alpine pastures is one of the most impressive high mountain valleys in South Tyrol.
