The Rupertiweg 10 was opened in 1979 and runs through the federal states of Upper Austria, Salzburg, and Carinthia. It stretches from Bärenstein in the Bohemian Forest to the Nassfeld in Carinthia. This path reaches almost 2800 m elevation on the Reisseck high route, so sure-footedness and a head for heights, as well as orientation skills in fog, are partly required. The Rupertiweg is part of the European long-distance path E10.

The Austrian long-distance hiking trail 9 is also called Salzsteig and is about 430 km long. It runs between the Italian border in the south and the Czech Republic in the north. The name probably derives from the transport and smuggling of salt, which was thus transported from Italy to the town of Krumau in today's Czech Republic.

Wundervolles Erlebnis!
