Long-distance hikes in Vorderstoder

The Austrian long-distance trail 01 - also called the Northern Alpine Trail - crosses Austria in an east-west direction, between the Wienerwald and Lake Constance.

The Nordalpenweg (Austrian long-distance hiking trail 01), this time not from east to west, but from Bregenz to Vienna in 38 days.

A multi-day route with via ferrata sections, starting at the Phyrn Pass and ending in Gössl at Grundlsee. However, the ascent of the Großer Priel is done via the normal route.

Hiked from June 1 to 7, 2020: Day 1: Eisenerz to Radmer an der Stube Easy path, water very frequently available along the entire route Important: From approximately kilometer 14, path 601 is closed. From then on, only use the forest road because the hiking trail is no longer maintained and becomes impenetrable. Day 2 to Hesshütte: Easy but long hike with about 2000 meters of elevation gain Water frequently available along the entire route Day 3 to Johnsbach: Contrary to the map, the Hochtor was not climbed (too much snow), but the Planspitze and Zinödl were ascended. Day 4 to Klinke Hütte: Contrary to the map, the Reichenstein was not climbed (hike only possible to 1912 meters; the summit is only reachable by climbing), but the Riffelspitz, Kalbling, and Sparafeld were ascended. Before that, ballast was unloaded at the Klinke Hütte. Day 5 to Bosruck Hütte: Due to bad weather, the valley route (601) was taken. If choosing the alpine variant in dry weather, a simple safety setup (light harness, sling, carabiner) is recommended. Water is very frequently available along the entire route Day 6 to Zellerhütte: Long hike with over 2000 meters of elevation gain. The ascent from Toten Mann to the Warscheneck plateau requires sure-footedness and a head for heights. Absolute caution is required in snow and wet conditions. Day 7 to Hinterstoder train station: Since we met two trail angels at the hut who drove us down to the station, our hike was shortened to 5km.
