From june 2018, nature lovers and pilgrims can spend their very special holiday in the new JUFA Hotel Stift Gurk****. Extensive meadows, densely wooded mountain slopes and the lively murmuring Gurk River surround the market town Gurk, the center of the natural Gurktal and the destination of many pilgrims! If you are looking for a natural idyll, have a hiking experience and are interested in country history, this is the place for you!
In our JUFA Hotel Gurk**** you spend quiet holidays in historical walls. There is direct access to the well-known Gurk Cathedral; a treasury in honor of St. Hemma of Gurk and her grave testify today to the exciting history of the region! Pilgrims like to taste the "Gurktaler Alpenkräuter" schnapps, fortify themselves with soothing cloister kitchen or at the popular "Gurktaler Speckfest"! A "Domladen" provides visitors with welcome souvenirs. Variety can be found in Weitensfeld in the outdoor pool or in the "Brauchtumsmuseum". Continue to the small town of Straßourg - around it are 16 churches - to the Kraiger lake at Fraunstein or up to the Hochrindl, which also has everything to offer winter sports enthusiasts!
