A warm welcome to Tschengla!
Built in 1987, this self-catering cabin is situated at a mid-mountain elevation (1,198 m) on the Tschengla sun terrace above Bürserberg near Bludenz in Vorarlberg. There’s plenty of space right next to the cabin for all kinds of games. In the summer, the beautiful location offers numerous hiking opportunities (Mondspitze: 3 hours; Schillerkopf: 3–4 hours). Ridge hikes and various loop trails. Since 2015, a “bike park” with three different difficulty levels has been available for “downhill enthusiasts.” http://www.bikepark-brandnertal.at/ In winter, skiers have access to a chairlift (Einhornbahn from Bürserberg to Tschengla) as well as chairlifts and T-bar lifts— http://www.vorarlberg-alpenregion.at/brandnertal/bergbahnen/ (about 10 minutes from the house), as well as the ski area in Brand and an extensive network of cross-country trails. Several restaurants are located in the immediate vicinity. You can also purchase local products such as milk, eggs, and cheese directly from the producers.
The Schwabenhaus is particularly well-suited for groups and families with children.
Our cabin is part of the “Mit Kindern auf Hütten” campaign, an initiative by the Alpine Clubs in Germany, Austria, and South Tyrol promoting family-friendly cabins. It is suitable for children of all ages, including infants. Our activity areas for children: Adventure Trail, Bike Park, wading pool, stone circles, barbecue area, and playground next to the lodge.

The house has 38 beds:
9 rooms, each with 2 beds
1 dormitory with 4 bunk beds
2 dorms, each with 6 bunk beds

1 dormitory for 3 people
All rooms have running hot and cold water—except for one 2-bed room, one 6-bed room, and the dormitory. The rooms are heated. The house has a wood pellet central heating system. Hot water is generated by an environmentally friendly solar system.
Please note:
As a general rule, mattresses, blankets, and pillows must be covered with sheets and pillowcases. You must bring your own bedding.
Bathrooms: The house has 4 showers. Separate restroom facilities are available for men and women.
Food and drink
The kitchen is equipped to meet the needs of groups and families:
3 separate cooking areas with an electric stove (2 burners), a sink, and a refrigerator, as well as
plus 2 large hot plates with a sink. There is an ample supply of dishes, silverware, and other kitchen appliances, including coffee makers and electric kettles
Shopping options (beverages/groceries) are available in Bürserberg, Bürs, Brand, or Bludenz.
