Scenic and exciting mountain hike.
From the Schwabenhaus on the Tschengla via the Steinkreise-Vilschena-Mottakopf. The mountain ridge towards Illtal-Bludenz is called Tschalengaberg. The path starts at Mottakopf and ends in Bürserberg-Außerberg. Detour (10 minutes round trip) to a waterfall. Return route via Fürkeleweg-Mottawaldweg-Steinkreise-Tschengla.

Schwabenhaus Steinkreise Alpe Rona Bürserberg from above (Video)Roadbook
From the Schwabenhaus we go about 50 meters down the street and at the house "Alpila" turn left onto an asphalt road uphill and reach the so-called "double house" after a few minutes. (Signpost Vilschena, Mottakopf, Außerberg.) A wide gravel path leads us down to the Steinkreise. The path continues to "Vilschena," a beautiful meadow valley with a few private huts. From there uphill to Mottakopf, which invites you to linger and offers beautiful views of the Illtal and the large Walsertal, etc. There our path begins, named after the mountain ridge "Tschalengaberg." This path was marked in 2012 with white/blue/white markers. Now the sign "Tschalengabergweg" at Mottakopf has been removed again, as well as many markings on the trees. The markings on the stones probably could not be removed so easily. The path is still recognizable and exciting. Partly along the ridge. Be careful with children. Due to natural obstacles, the path was led somewhat away from the slope. Therefore, my GPS track deviates slightly from the path shown on the map. There are always beautiful views into the Illtal and the opposite mountains.
We finally arrived in Außerberg and find ourselves on an asphalted road. If we go a few meters to the left, we come to the outermost Außerberg. An artificially created lake and the houses are worth seeing. From there back again or directly to the right, we reach a very beautiful farmhouse of the Moser family, with flower decorations and glass art by the daughter of the house. From there, past a small detour to a waterfall formed by the plunging Plattenbach. From there back to the farmhouse steeply uphill on the "Fürkeleweg," which takes us via the "Mottawaldweg" back to the Steinkreise on the Tschengla.
