Die Saalfeldner Hütte liegt auf einer Höhe von 1.460 m in schöner Aussichtslage am Aberg im Skigebiet Maria Alm in den Salzburger Schieferalpen. Die Übernachtung ist nur in Begleitung eines Ortsgruppenmitgliedes der Naturfreunde Saalfelden möglich. Der Zustieg zur Hütte erfolgt über Unterberg oder Hintermoos.

Direkt am Aberg, im beliebten Skigebiet Maria Alm, gelegen findet man eine Selbstversorgerhütte, die wenig Wünsche offenlässt.

Das Skigebiet rund um den Hochkönig stellt sich als wahres Sportparadies dar. Mit 34 Seilbahn- und Liftanalagen und 120 Pistenkilometer zählt es zu den größten Skigebieten in Salzburg.
