Die Langtalereckhütte (Karlsruher Hütte) liegt auf 2.480 m Höhe und wurde 1929/30 erbaut und 1986 erweitert. Sie ist ideales Ziel für Tagesausflüge von Obergurgl aus und idealer Stützpunkt für Familienbergwanderungen. Von der Hütte aus sind Bergwanderungen, Hoch- und Skitouren möglich. Wer die Hütte als Wanderziel gewählt hat, wird belohnt mit einem herrlichen Blick auf die von Gletschern geprägte und geformte Langschaft und kann den Gurgler Gletscher erleben.
Die Hütte liegt im Versorgungsgebiet eines Mobilfunknetzes, es kann aber sein, daß man für den Empfang ein Stück von der Hütte weg sein muss. Auf Anfrage ist der Transport von Rucksäcken und Ausrüstung zur Hütte möglich. In den Waschräumen der Hütte sind Duschen und warmes Wasser vorhanden.
Bewirtschaftet wird die Hütte in der Regel vom Mitte/Ende Februar bis Ende April und von Mitte/Ende Juni bis Mitte/Ende September. Öffnungszeiten und Zugangsmöglichkeiten können von Witterungs- und Lawinenlage sowie anderen Störungen abhängen.
