Update 18.07.2017 (commissioning of the suspension bridge):
The Piccard suspension bridge is already signposted at the Langtalereck Hut. You walk in the direction of Hochwildehaus. Coming from below (from the Langtalereck Hut), turn right at an altitude of about 2600m and descend on a marked path over glacier-polished rock slabs to the suspension bridge.
Cross the bridge to the other side and there ascend again to the old path via a newly created trail.
Note:
The old path in the valley floor on glacier remains is no longer continuously passable. The wooden footbridge is broken and no longer safe to walk. If you want to quickly change valley sides, you should use the bridge.
