Die Hütte hat für Winterurlauber (Skipiste direkt am Lagazuoi) von Mitte Dezember bis Ende März und in der Sommersaison von Anfang Juni bis Mitte Oktober geöffnet. Von der großen Terrasse der Hütte genießt man einen unglaublich beeindruckenden Blick auf die Dolomiten, dem UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe.
Der Monte Lagazuoi ist vor allem auch wegen dem berühmten Kaiserjägersteig bekannt, ein Verbindungssteig aus dem Ersten Weltkrieg, der heute noch über einen abenteuerlichen Klettersteig erkundigt werden kann und direkt zur Lagazuoi Hütte führt. Hier geht es vorbei an Schützengräben an ausgesetzten Stellen, über eine Hängebrücke und durch dunkle Stollen. Die nicht allzu schwierige Tour ist sehr lohnenswert!
Neben der fantastischen Küche, die vor allem wegen der schmackhaften Polenta bekannt wurde, ist wohl die finnische Sauna aus Lärchenholz das größte Highlight der Hütte. Sie ist mit Abstand die höchste Sauna der Dolomiten, was einen entspannenden Saunagang nach einem aufregenden Ski- oder Wandertag zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis macht!
