Das Naturschutzgebiet rund um den Großen Ahornboden, im Herzen des Karwendels, stellt mit seinen über 2.500 m hohen Bergen eine atemberaubende Landschaft dar. Hier, inmitten dieses Naturdenkmals liegt DIE ENG Alpengasthof und Naturhotel, zu dem nur eine Strasse führt. Gäste haben die Wahl zwischen gemütlichen Zimmern und einem Almchalet mit zwei Apartments. Auf Wunsch kann man auch in einem der Bergsteigerlager übernachten. Der Tag startet mit einem vitalen Bergsteigerfrühstück vom Buffet.
