Auf der Hinteralm in den Mürzsteger Alpen steht die Donaulandhütte, eine gemütlich ausgestattete Selbstversorgerhütte mit 12 Schlafplätzen. Das Haus eignet sich ideal für Seminare, Kurse und Veranstaltungen oder einfach zum Abschalten von der täglichen Hektik.
Die Hinteralm ist nur zu Fuß erreichbar, eine Zufahrt mit dem Auto ist nicht möglich. Kürzeste Zustiege von Frein und Scheiterboden (ca. 2 Stunden), bzw. von Krampen/Tirol (ca. 3 Stunden).
Bei der benachbarten Ochsenhalterhütte kann man während der Almbewirtschaftung Kleinigkeiten essen und trinken.
Der Alpenverein Edelweiss hat die Donaulandhütte 2023 käuflich erworben. Die Presseaussendung dazu findest du hier. Durch die neue Buslinie 189 (seit Mai 2023) ist die Hinteralm in der Wanderzeit (im Sommer!) gut öffentlich erreichbar. Hier geht's zum Fahrplan.
