Alpwirtschaft auf 1152 m ü M oberhalb Sattel via Schornenrain oder von Unterägeri via Hürital

Von Mitte Mai bis zum 10. September werden auf der Alp rund 60 Tiere gehalten. 20 Milchkühe gehören dem Älpler, die 40 Rinder sind alle aus Landwirtschaftsbetrieben aus Sattel.Der Älpler ist seit 1985 von der Genossame Sattel angestellt um die Alp zu bewirtschaften. Die Milch wird jeden zweiten Tag nach Sattel gebracht.Es gibt keine fest installierte Elektrizität auf der Alp, daher ist unser Angebot in der Küche auf das machbare angepasst. Wir heizen und kochen mit Holz. Für die Beleuchtung verwenden wir Gas (manchmal auch Solarstrom).
