Die Alpe Hinteregg liegt auf 1450 m, ungefähr 20 Gehminuten von der Bergstation der Hörnerbahn entfernt. Familie Hilbrand hält rund 130 Tiere auf der Alpe, davon Jungvieh, Kühe, Schweine und Hühner.

Bei guter Sicht erstreckt sich das einzigartige Panorama der Allgäuer Alpen vor der Berghütte. Nach einer Wanderung durch das Bolgental oder von der Bergstation der Hörnerbahn gönnt man sich hier sehr gerne eine deftige Älplerbrotzeit.

Die Alpe ist von Ende Mai bis Anfang Oktober bewirtschaftet.
