Im Sommer sind auf der Alpe ca. 190 Stück Jungvieh und 2 Milchkühe untergebracht. Die Weidefläche beginnt auf 1300 m und reicht bis auf 2000 m hinauf. Von der schönen Sonnenterrasse genießt man einen traumhaften Gipfelblick auf die Oberstdorfer Berge. Von Anfang Juni bis Ende Oktober verwöhnen die Wirtsleute ihre Gäste mit deftigen Brotzeiten mit selbstgemachter Butter, frischer Kuhmilch, Getränken, Kaffee und hausgemachten Kuchen. Die Alpe ist Partner des Vereins Allgäuer Alpgenuss e.V.
Von der Fellhornbahn-Mittelstation führt ein einfacher Wanderweg in etwa 20 Minuten direkt zur Alpe. Von der Bergstation geht es auf dem Blumenlehrpfad (etwa 1 h) herunter. Vom Parkplatz der Fellhornbahn läuft man dagegen etwa 2 h und ist hauptsächlich auf schattigen Waldwegen unterwegs, die im Sommer sehr angenehm sind.
