But not only in the warm season the alp is a popular destination, as well in winter time many families and outdoor enthusiasts visit the farm to enjoy a snack or the illuminated view of the valley while warming themself with a glühwein. From october until april the skiing club Sonthofen manages the catering of the guests voluntarily on weekends. The Schafkopf (a trick-taking card game) turneys are popular as well.
The alp Sonthofer Hof is a member of the association Allgäuer Alpengenuss e.V.

Opening times
From 9th of may until 3rd of october from 10 a.m. on. Monday is rest day (except Whitmonday).From october until may: Open on weekends. Saturday from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. and sunday until 5 p.m..
The opening hours at fridays are on behoove of the team. Guests will be hosted on the best of their ability. At extended weekends the first open day ist seen as friday and the last as sunday.
