Welcome to the Albertbiwak.
The Albertbiwak, located in the Ankogel Range in the Lungau region of Salzburg, lies below the Schmalzscharte, not far from the Lower Schwarzsee and the border with Carinthia. The hut is an open bivouac; it is very small and stands in the middle of the boulder field. The interior, with bunk beds, is comfortably furnished. There are 6 sleeping spots, blankets, and a table.
Please note: Bivouacs are not self-catering huts; reservations are not possible.
We ask for a maintenance fee of 10€ per person. Please leave the bivouac just as you found it—tidy and clean. Please report any damage or defects immediately. Thank you very much.
In winter, there is often a high risk of avalanches here.
