Southern Austrian Pilgrimage Route, 3rd stage from Lebring to Leibnitz (based on Peter Lindenberg's idea) The stages are short, easy, and accessible by public transport both at the start and the end point.

The central Styrian mountain range was first mentioned in the 9th cent.The Buchkogel, formerly known as the "Hoher Hengst", together with the Schlossberg, is one of the core areas of Styrian regional history. Excavations have uncovered traces that point to almost 6500 years of continuous settlement activity. This is unique in the south-eastern Alps - we explore this uniqueness thanks to this varied hiking tour.
