The Mariazell Pilgrimage Path System 06 was opened in 1980. The paths run through the federal states of Vienna, Lower Austria, Burgenland, Upper Austria, Salzburg, Carinthia, and Styria, and consist of several traditional pilgrimage routes leading to Mariazell. This path system also connects the state capitals Vienna, St. Pölten, Eisenstadt, Salzburg, Linz, Klagenfurt, and Graz with Mariazell.
