    Beautiful gentle walk until the Jochpass, with changing landscape at every corner. Jochpass was also doable (approx 400m gain over 4km) even with the snow patches, however, we took the cablecar from the top to Trübsee, which was a great decision due to the remaining snow at that side.

    Wir sind um 9h40 gestartet und sind bis 18h30 gewandert. In Melchsee Frutt gibt es eine gratis Campingplatz (Tannalpstrasse 10) wo wir dort geschlafen sind. Die restliche Wanderung bis zum Talstation haben wir am nächsten Morgen gemacht.

    Beautiful hike (20 July 2024). Lots of snow at the top. The trail was smooth. Suggest to do the course in reverse, and take the Ristis Brunnihutte chairlift, as it’s easier to hike up the snowfields and it cuts off a bit of time. 6.5 hours hiking time.

    This is Stage 8 of the Via Alpina. Beautiful sceneries almost throughout. Water fountains available at the Trubsee station as well as outside Bärghuis Jochpass. Enjoy a warm meal at Alphütte Rossboden at the end of the hike. Note(s): - We had to traverse some snowfields on our way to Jochpass in the middle of July! - If you’re heading back via Meiringen, make sure to check the bus schedules well beforehand (and the website of the operator on the day of your visit).

    Der Aufstieg von Grafenort-Mettlen aus ist schon anstrengend und bei sonnigem Wetter schweißtreibend. Aufstiege über Grashänge liebt nicht jede/r. Dafür ist oben die Aussicht phantastisch und es sind nur wenige Wander*innen unterwegs. Der heftige Regenguss hat uns zum Glück bei der Rast am SB-Alplädli beim oberen Lutersee erwischt, wo wir bei einer Schale Kaffee-Trätsch☕ und einer Brotzeit (Brot selber mitbringen, Rest kann gekauft werden) schön im Trockenen saßen. Danach den steilen Abstieg über Engelberg und dem Aaschluchtweg zurück zum Ausgangspunkt. Gehzeit inklusiv Pause 7,5 Stunden. Nächstes Mal vermutlich Aufstieg über Engelberg und Abstieg mit Hilfe der Luftseilbahnen ab Eggen. Meine Knie werden danken😏
