The Bodenalm is nestled between Laka and Golz in a beautiful high valley. From the 17th to the 19th century, one of the two Carinthian glassworks was located in Tscherniheim, about 2 km east of the Bodenalm. The themed route "Forest Glass from Carinthia" offers interesting information. The gravel path is also an MTB route, so watch out for cyclists.

Gentle hiking in the Weissensee Nature Park

Around Lake Weissensee you hike in a nature park that has dedicated itself to gentle tourism. Here, tourism development is being worked on very carefully. And not to forget: After every hike you can refresh yourself in the crystal-clear lake. Lake Weissensee, situated at 930 metres above sea level, is the highest bathing lake in Carinthia and boasts good drinking water quality and an abundance of fish.

By boat to the hike

Since large parts of the shore are not accessible by road, there is the possibility of being brought to the starting point of the hike by boat or boat taxi. There are several landing stages around the lake that are regularly visited. One of the most popular hikes with boat assistance is the one from the landing stage on the eastern shore via the Steinwand back to Techendorf. There are also two other landing stages if you want to shorten the walk – perfect for families.

Allerdings in umgekehrter Richtung.

Bitte Sicherheitsvermerk anpassen. Eine ausführlichere Tourenbeschreibung wäre nicht schlecht.
