    Eine tolle Tour! Wir sind sie im Anschluss an ein paar verregnete Tage gegangen. Die Wege sind insgesamt sehr gut begehbar (zwischendrin matschig, aber festes Schuhwerk ist am Berg ja eh immer empfehlenswert). Uns hat gefallen, dass man die Tour an mehreren Stellen abkürzen kann. Das kann zB bei unbeständigem Wetter ein großer Vorteil sein. Man kommt an einigen Hütten vorbei, was auch immer ne gute Sache ist. Ein bisschen Kondition braucht es vor allem im Aufstieg, aber die Wege an sich sind leicht begehbar.

    Schöne Strecke, aber wichtig hier zu wissen: Der Pfad, der nach dem Gipfel zur Oberen Schwandalpe führt -- so wurde mir dort gesagt -- wurde vor zehn Jahren aufgegeben. Es gibt keine Wegschilder und der nicht mehr gepflegte Pfad ist oft kaum von abgehenden anderen Pfaden zu unterscheiden -- ohne App und GPS hätten wir zweimal falsch entschieden, weil der Pfad in dieser Karte inzwischen unscheinbarer aussieht als der ein oder andere Abzweig. Bei Nässe wird er sehr rutschig sein - bei uns zum Glück trocken - und wurde anscheinend deswegen auch wegen Unfällen, so die Info auf der Alpe, aufgegeben. Deswegen findet man diese Strecke auch wohl kaum noch in Beschreibungen.

    Beschauliche Tour in Achterform gut zu gehen mit teilweise herrlichen Ausblicken. Bei Trockenheit sind die Wiesenwege kein Problem und wenn man sich Zeit lässt sind auch die hm gut zu bewältigen. Zurück in Rettenberg lädt der Biergarten der Engelbrauerei zur Einkehr ein.

    sind beim (kostenpflichtigen) Parkplatz an der Alpe Weiherle gestartet und durch den Wald hochgestiegen über schmale und steinige, teils wurzelübersäten Pfade - geht etwas steil hoch (es führt auch ein breiter, etwas flacherer Weg dort hoch). Die hier vorgeschlagene Route haben wir dann auf Empfehlung von Einheimischen für den Abstieg gewählt, was angenehm war, weil dieser Weg flacher und weniger steinig ist. Fazit: Toller Tag, tolle Aussicht, gutes Wetter - und leckere Einkehr am Grüntenhaus (das hat bis Silvester geöffnet).

    Ausgangspunkt ließ sich gut per Google Maps finden. An der Alpe Weiherle ging's an Kälbern und einem Ziegenbock vorbei los. Der Weg war einigermaßen steil. Insbesondere kurz vorm Grüntenhaus bis zum Sendemast war es sehr rutschig. Der Ausblick vom Jägerdenkmal war phänomenal. Da es früher Vormittag war, lichtete sich gerade der Talnebel. Wirklich schön. Der angegebene Rückweg war teilweise ebenfalls durch die Feuchtigkeit rutschig (Wurzeln, Schlamm und Wiesen), wobei es mich auf einem trockeneren Abschnitt auf einem Kunststoffschlauch zerlegt hat.... Trotz allem eine wunderschöne, etwas anstrengende Tour. An genug Kleingeld für den Parkautomaten denken!
