One of the longest Alpine foothill trailsThis old, amusingly intricate trail connection from the Wertach town to Irsee culminates in the historic brewery inn Klosterbräu. In the vaulted cellar next door, the beer is still brewed the traditional way. It is served naturally and unfiltered.

Refreshing Kneipp or fragrant forest bath? Both are offered. Added to this are a monastery complex and a terrace landscape.▶ From the old town 01 on the route guide of the outbound route (see stage Marktoberdorf-Kaufbeuren) to the entrance stele and the main route 02 back. Now straight ahead uphill on the sidewalk. Cross the street at the Kleinkemnat town entrance sign and steeply descend on a path to the right into the Eybach valley. Then uphill and through a noteworthy Natura 2000 area with pond biotopes. Forest follows again with the crossing of the Kemnat stream, then it goes up to the Hof der Hoffnung – the Fazenda da Esperança Santa Crescentia in the hamlet of Bickenried, the former summer residence of the Irsee abbots 03. After crossing the country road, hike over a ridge with views of the Alpine range to a T-junction and turn right towards Irsee. Walk through the "Hochstraße" to St. Stephen's Church 04 with an old cemetery, behind it steeply down through the "Old Burggraben", the stage reaches the "Marktstraße" and turns right to the massive monastery complex 05 on "Von-Bannwarth-Straße" (Tip: Definitely visit the monastery church and the monastery park). Walk left uphill on "Von-Bannwarth-Straße" to the street "Schönblick", keep right here and then descend left on a path into a valley. Later take a left on the forest path down through the Riedgraben with fish ponds and then first right along the stream and later left over a terrain hump to a T-junction. At a sharp angle turn left, then left again to the "Schwarzen Kreuz" 06, an atonement cross on the former church path to Irsee. Later, turn right at both T-junctions and after reaching the forest edge, walk through beautiful meadows to a wayside cross. Turn sharply right here. The path leads along the ridge lengthwise with great views of the glacier-shaped terrace landscape. Upon reaching the country road, keep left and a little further first right and then left walk along meadows at the terrace step. A hairpin leads down to the country road and continues right to Großried. There first hike right a bit uphill on the country road and then immediately left past the Holy Cross Chapel built in 1500 07. Straight ahead over meadows the path leads through young forest and after crossing a country road along the forest edge with a nice view of hamlets and meadows to the village of Untergammenried. Here take the left on the country road to the forest mill 08 with fish breeding and smoking (parking lot, bus stop) and turn right before the Wörthbach. (Tip: Definitely try the Kneipp facility at the rest area with trilogy bench!) Passing endless hawthorn hedges and many informative boards, past the forest lake fed by 135 springs 09, proceed through the "Upper Mill Street" to an oak grove with the entrance stele 10 and three trilogy needles. Later turn right onto "Gammenrieder Straße", continue left here and then first right into "Kellerweg" and left into "Promenadenweg" to "St.-Anna-Straße". Turn right until left is "Schulstraße", past the Kneipp Museum 11, leading to the street "Klosterhof". Now turn left, past the Dominican monastery to the "Main Street" and right to the "Luitpold-Leusser-Platz" with the start and welcome square 12.

A circular walk that mostly follows forest paths uses the Crescenzia Pilgrimage Trail and the Wiesengänger Trail. It starts at the Oggenrieder Weiher parking lot and also ends there. Swimming possible. I counted 7 different butterfly species alone. For those curious, make a detour to the Black Cross, see photo.
