Hike from Kerpen over the heights to the Neublankenheim castle ruins and back again through the valley via Niederehe. Since I hiked at the end of October, it was like a route in "Indian summer" because of the leaf coloring. Daniel van Schaik is right in the sense that the hike runs on asphalt for a little less than half the distance. In the meantime, I note this in the text for hikes posted later. Whether the landscape appeals is up to anyone walking the route.

Forecast for Nohn

10-day forecast
One of the most beautiful hiking tours in Nohn leads along the Maare-Mosel cycle path. This trail connects the Pulvermaar with the Schalkenmehrener Maar and offers breathtaking views of the volcanic lakes and green forests in the surrounding area. The view of the Mosenberg, an extinct volcanic cone, is also particularly impressive.

A walk through the Southern Eifel Nature Park is suitable for families with children. Here, little adventurers can observe various animal species such as red deer or wild boars and learn more about the local flora and fauna in a playful way.

The best seasons for hiking in Nohn are spring and autumn. In these months, nature shows its most beautiful side: colourful flowers blossom along the path, while the leaves slowly change colour. In summer, on the other hand, it can get quite hot, so hikes should take place early in the morning or in the evening.

In addition to the tours mentioned, there are many other hiking trails to discover around Nohn. One popular route leads from the village centre to the Ramstein castle ruins, where you can enjoy a magnificent panoramic view of the entire region. The circular hiking trail around the Gemündener Maar is also highly recommended.

If you like hiking, you should definitely pay Nohn a visit. The diverse hiking possibilities in this idyllic landscape make every excursion an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and families. So lace up your hiking boots and explore the picturesque surroundings of Nohn!
