Hikes on Menorca

On foot along the historic horse trail The Camí de Cavalls leads around the island in nine stages over 191 km. Over 2,000 meters of ascent and descent have to be overcome.

A particularly fascinating hike through the most spectacular rocky gorge in Menorca, Pas d`en Revull. A unique scenario on narrow and mysterious paths, through narrow gorges and narrow crevices with tens of meters high rock faces, mighty rock spheres, jungle-like vegetation and impressions as if from a foreign world. All this awaits the adventurous hiker. This impressive gorge has plenty of adventure potential. A thrilling experience! The fertile Barranc d'Algendar, with the only year-round flowing water in Menorca, then fascinates in a different way, with lush, almost tropical vegetation, mighty, tree-high giant reeds, fairy-tale lagoons and magnificent plantations of oranges, apricots, cherries and persimmons. A tour rich in impressions, partly on old, stone-paved connecting paths and adorned by enchanting vegetation with gnarled, shady olive trees.

The hike may seem unspectacular, but that is deceptive! The bird paradise in the S'Albufera des Grau nature reserve offers spectacular insights into the diverse birdlife of Menorca. Numerous rare birds can often be observed undisturbed here in their natural habitat and captured in pictures: Flamingos, herons, cormorants, coots, little grebes, moorhens, little bitterns, black-winged stilts, ducks and many more. The Cap des Favàritx then offers views of a completely different kind, as it reveals a wildly romantic, harsh coastal landscape, at the end of which the lonely Far de Favàritx is enthroned, as if captured in a painting. As a reward for your efforts, the magnificent sandy beach at Platja des Sinivar awaits you in the untouched nature of the nature reserve - magnificent dune landscape included!

A truly fantastic section of the Cami de Cavalls from Binimel-la to Cala en Calderer. Along the multi-faceted north coast, surrounded by a lovely hilly landscape, the coastal path leads to breathtaking viewpoints and fantastic sandy coves. They are among the most beautiful on the island. Embedded in the picturesquely sculpted landscape, with ochre-orange shimmering offshore rocky islands and beaches in reddish-yellow sandy hues, they create images of beguiling beauty and, together with the green natural landscape of the hinterland, pamper you with a breathtaking atmosphere. The rugged, wildly romantic stretches of coastline in the seclusion of the north and the sweeping views over the endless sea offer soothing relaxation and are balm for the soul. The highest level of hiking enjoyment can be expected.
