The hike may seem unspectacular, but that is deceptive! The bird paradise in the S'Albufera des Grau nature reserve offers spectacular insights into the diverse birdlife of Menorca. Numerous rare birds can often be observed undisturbed here in their natural habitat and captured in pictures: Flamingos, herons, cormorants, coots, little grebes, moorhens, little bitterns, black-winged stilts, ducks and many more. The Cap des Favàritx then offers views of a completely different kind, as it reveals a wildly romantic, harsh coastal landscape, at the end of which the lonely Far de Favàritx is enthroned, as if captured in a painting. As a reward for your efforts, the magnificent sandy beach at Platja des Sinivar awaits you in the untouched nature of the nature reserve - magnificent dune landscape included!

An extensive tour around the main town of Maò, which not only boasts impressive cultural sites from the Talayotic era, but also the magnificent backdrop of the lively capital with its enchanting flair. Just as Maò stands for modern, contemporary Menorca, the Tayalot culture with its impressive cultural monuments is regarded as evidence of a highly developed prehistoric culture on the Balearic Islands. The talayots, thick-walled former watchtowers built using the Cyclopean technique with a central chamber, and taulas, T-shaped monuments from the megalithic phase, are particularly fascinating as impressive cultural monuments from around 1000 BC. The Tabailot of Trepuco, Talaiot de Curnia Vell and Talati de Dalt can be admired as highly interesting and well-preserved cultural monuments.

The extensive nature reserve s`Albufera des Grau was declared a nature reserve in 1995 and comprises five areas: the islands of Addaia, S`Estany de Morella, Es Prat and the island of En Colom. The cultural heritage of Menorca, numerous archaeological traces and agricultural areas are represented here, but above all the natural treasures with their rich flora and fauna. The core of the biosphere reserve, which is part of the European Network 2000, is home to numerous bird species, including ducks, coots, shags, cormorants, herons, ospreys, kites, booted eagles and many more. But it is also home to a magnificent flora, with extensive olive groves, wild olive trees, mastic bushes, medium-sized stone lime trees, tree-like spurge and small holm oak forests; on the beaches there is dune vegetation and endemic Balearic thorny duckweed on the cliffs. A natural paradise of the highest quality and a great hiking area with a unique, nature-loving atmosphere.

Large round trip near the capital – tranquility and authenticity This varied and highly rewarding circular hike takes us directly from the center of Maó over roads, natural paths, and traditional trails to many remarkable witnesses of prehistory. Although we only move a little away from the capital and stay near the airport, the tour is surprisingly quiet and offers beautiful insights into the extensive agriculture of Menorca. The five archaeological sites along the way are excellent examples of the Talayotic and early Christian way of life. And with the Camí empedrat de sa Font d’en Simó, we walk one of the most beautiful traditional paths on the island.

Coastal up and down to the Natural Park S’Albufera des Grau – dream bays From the beautiful bay of Sa Mesquida, we climb three coastal passes on the Camí de Cavalls (first stage), cross the intermediate bays, and thus reach the edge of the Natural Park S’Albufera des Grau: a vast inland lagoon full of waterfowl. A viewpoint hill allows us to get an overview before we can enjoy the wide, shallow bay of Es Grau at the endpoint of our hike.
