A really beautiful route starting at the valley station. We were lucky to experience the Feldberg in snow despite being outside the peak season in early November. In this season, the area is not overcrowded, but also not deserted. In the peak season, it is advisable to resort to other regions, as it simply becomes too crowded. Overall, you have to be aware that you are moving in alpine terrain and the paths can indeed be demanding. This one, however, should pose no problem with reasonably good weather and sturdy footwear. A variant of the Feldbergsteig that, instead of descending to Feldsee, follows the Felsenweg above Feldsee. Also, it starts at the Caritas-Haus. Of course, you can also start the path from Feldbergerhof, which saves about 3.6km. And you can alternatively take the Feldberg cable car to the Seebuck summit.
