    Sehr gut ausgeschilderter Wanderweg. Gut zu laufen mit den entsprechenden Wanderschuhen. Trittsicher und kein Anfänger sollte man sein. Viele Rastmöglichkeiten gibt es und die Kneipenlage in der Hälfte von der Tour am Stausee solllte man auf alle Fälle ansteuern. Die Gaststätte hatte leider eine geschlossene Gesellschaft.

    Wunderschöne, sehr naturnahe Wanderung. Gerade heute bei 20 Grad und Sonnenschein waren der Wechsel zwischen offenem Gelände und den schattigen Waldpassagen optimal. Wanderstrecke fast ausschließlich auf schmalen Pfädchen. Entlang der Strecke ausreichend Rast und Ruhemöglichkeiten gegeben. Top Ausschilderung und sehr gepflegter Eindruck. So macht wandern Spaß. Wir empfanden die Strecke als eher leicht. Aufgrund des hohen Anteils an Pfädchen würden wir aber festes Schuhwerk empfehlen. Abschließend noch ein Wort zur Kritik der Straßenüberquerung…. Ja, man muss die Bundesstraße 2 mal überqueren, aber der Weg führt NIE direkt an der Bundesstraße lang, sondern immer parallel zu dieser. Es besteht zu keiner Zeit Gefahr, wenn man bei der Überquerung halt auch mal nach links und rechts schaut. Mach ich im Übrigen wenn ich zum Bäcker auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite möchte auch, bewerte aber doch dadurch den Bäcker nicht schlecht! In diesem Sinne viel Spaß beim Nachwandern!

    Los ging es in Greimerath in Rheinland-Pfalz, mit 40,7 % prozentual das waldreichste Bundesland mit etwa 808.337 ha Fläche, was damit die mehr als dreifache Gesamtfläche Luxemburg wäre. Waldwege also „en masse“ vorhanden. Der Parkplatz in der Buchwaldstraße war recht gut gefüllt, einzig ein Platz war noch frei. Eine flotte Strecke, die allemal einzig zu bemängeln wäre an der doch etwas eintönigen Wegstrecke nach der ersten flotten Steigung ab Km. 0,8 bis Km 4,8. Deutlich flotter geht es dann nach dem höchsten Punkt der Wanderung mit über 600 m. über den gesamten restlichen Wanderweg. Abenteuerlich, wie der Poster schreibt, dieser Verbindungsweg um das Quellgebiet der Lannenbach. Der an manchen Stellen schwer zu findende Weg, weil halt mit Farnen usw. zugewachsen, hat sich mittlerweile erholt, aber morastig und sumpfig ist es doch geblieben. Eine gute Abwechslung dann der Abschnitt des Felsenweges inklusive schönem Rastplatz mit gekühltem „Getränkevorrat“ längs der „Lannenbach“. Der andere Abschnitt (zum Ferdinandshaus hin) ist mittlerweile ebenfalls besser zu gehen, der Rest des Wanderweges geht dann, wie bereits der Anfang, meistens über gut und schnell gehbare Waldwege. Die Strecke ist auch nicht schwer, da moderate Steigungen vorhanden. Kleiner Abstecher wurde zu den Überresten der Westwallstaffel gemacht (siehe Foto 003). Fazit. GPS-Strecke völlig in Ordnung, Strecke stellenweise echt abenteuerlich, aber machbar. Einzig der Anfang der Wanderung zog sich etwas hin. GPS und wasserdichte Wanderschuhe natürlich aufgrund der 2 Abschnitte nötig! Also, danke an den Poster und gerne wieder.
