Mit seiner einzigartigen ruhigen Lage ist die Burgmühle ein beliebtes Ausflugsziel für Wanderer und Naturliebhaber.

Sie liegt im Naturschutzgebiet, inmitten einer naturnahen Landschaft, an einer besonders engen und felsigen Stelle der Gauchachschlucht. Sie befindet sich an einem Kreuzungspunkt von Wegen nach Bachheim, Bonndorf, Döggingen und Mundelfingen und ist deshalb ein ideales Ausflugsziel für Wanderer aus allen Richtungen.
