The winery Jul. Ferd. Kimich is centrally located in Deidesheim directly on the German Wine Route. The winery has a long winemaking tradition. As a long-standing member of the VDP, quality and careful work in the vineyard and cellar are the focus, as evidenced by the top-class wines.
The Kimich winery traces its origins to the winemaker Andreas Kimich from Alsace, who possessed the technical knowledge for viticulture and married a wealthy widow from Deidesheim, who brought the vineyards into the marriage. Thus, the winery was "born," and it has been in existence since 1758. Today, Franz Arnold and his son Matthias run the winery.
In addition to being a member of the VDP, the winery is also involved with "Winechanches," a group of dynamic winemakers from the five towns of the Deidesheim holiday region. Here, 14 different wineries, philosophies, and wines have come together. However, they are united by a common idea: not to cater to the classic cliché of winemakers, but to inspire with innovative ideas about their wines and show that there is something new to discover in the wineries.
