Hearty, original coziness meets the guest when he enters our estate through the archway decorated with flowers. As soon as the first warm days make it possible, tables and benches with 50 seats invite you to stay in the wine tavern "Winzerkeller" , where also in the colder season Palatinate hospitality is practiced.
In addition to the house wines, down-to-earth home cooking, typical Palatinate dishes, are served. In the "Winzerkeller" there is something for every palate and every budget. Whether Handkäs with music, white cheese with onions or Münsterkäse from nearby Alsace, whether homemade plate, Schwartemagen or ham bread, everything is prepared and served with love.
The winery is located in the middle of Schweigen, not far from the German Wine Gate and the French border. In this climatically very mild region we cultivate as a family business 8 hectares of vineyards of which, almost half is on French territory.
We remain faithful to traditional grape varieties!
One third of our vineyards are planted with Riesling and Pinot Noir, while Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Müller-Thurgau and Gewürtztraminer make up the second third.
Of course, we also face new challenges, with which the recently cultivated Chardonnay, as well as Merlot wines have become an absolute hit.
More than 95% of our wines are bottled and marketed. Almost every bottled wine is awarded a prize by the Chamber of Agriculture, which has allowed us to call ourselves the "House of Award Wines" for many years.
