The goal is to make people happy with wine.
We – Sandra and Franz Straß – have been running our family winery together for many years now. Franz has been a passionate winemaker since his youth and bears the main responsibility in the operation. He takes care of the work in the vineyards and, of course, the aging of the wines in the cellar. I, Sandra, joined full-time only after the parental leave for our two daughters – but by now, I am an integral part of the winery and support Franz wherever I can.
What drives us? We want to bring joy to people with our wines – it's that simple. The enthusiasm we feel while working with the wine is something we want to share. Our vineyards are located in the best sites of the Mittelburgenland – from Horitschon through Unterpetersdorf to Deutschkreutz – providing perfect conditions for expressive wines. We currently cultivate around 16 hectares. A close-to-nature and careful approach in the vineyard is especially important to us – it is the foundation for everything that later goes into the bottle.
Our wine cellar is located in Draßmarkt. Here we process our grapes, all of which we hand-harvest, and let the wines age in peace.
Come and see for yourself!
