:gb: Calles is a small crag next to the recreational area Puente Alta. It's a calm and scenic place in the canyon formed by the river Túria that is passing by the crag.
In summer the wall stays in the shade until 3:30 pm. However, the right side of the wall stays mostly shaded due to nearby trees. At around 6:30 pm the sun gets already behind the opposite canyon wall, providing shade again.
Calles is a perfect place to bring the entire family. They can relax under plenty of trees and take a dip into the river.
Drinking water is available from a spring near the entrance of the recreational area.
At the start of the route 'La nevereta' there’s a strikingly cool crack – the namesake of the climb and a handy spot to store food and drinks on hot days.
The three slabby 5/6a routes lined up side by side tend to get busy early in the day – this is where half the crag seems to warm up.
