Approach

Von der Essener-Rostocker-Hütte zunächst auf dem Wanderweg zum Türmljoch / zur Johannishütte. Dabei nach einer 2. Brücke, die über den Maurerbach führt, beim nächsten Abzweig links parallel zum Maurerbach und ohne viel Höhengewinn in Richtung Maurertörl. An der östlichen Talseite taucht eine längere Plattenflucht auf, bis zu deren nördlichen Ende weiter auf dem Wanderweg. Danach für ca. 50 Hm weglos direkt auf den Einstieg zuhalten.
