Der Erikagrat ist als alpiner Klettergarten einzustufen. Er besteht, so wie die benachbarten Felsbildungen, aus Hauptdolomit. Im Einstiegsbereich zumeist abgeglättet, ansonst zumeist noch rauher Fels. HELM!
Absicherung überwiegend mit U - Bügel und AV - KH; fallweise auch Expressanker und Expansionsbohrhaken. Die Hakenabstände sind im Bereich unter der Hauptschwierigkeit manchmal etwas weiter.

History
Schon in der "Heldenzeit" des Wiener Alpinismus besucht, alte Aufschriften
( z. B. "E - Stg 0" ) stammen noch aus dieser Epoche.
Die meisten Routen wurden von Alfred Riedl erstbegangen und eingerichtet. Bei der Generalsanierung anno 2000 ( R. Jascha u. Gef. ) wurde das alte Material durch moderne Verbundhaken ersetzt, die Absicherung verbessert und neue Varianten und Routen geschaffen.
