Hiking adventures around Winterberg
Six tours, many possibilities: In the Winterberg Hiking Challenge 2025, you will discover Winterberg on foot - sometimes sporty with crisp altitude meters, sometimes relaxed through quiet valleys.
Collect POIs by hiking to at least 8 of the places listed - then you have mastered the challenge!
As a small reward for your spirit of discovery, you can pick up a surprise at the Winterberg Tourist Information Office afterwards.
You can find all the tours for the challenge hereor directly in the Challenge collection - Choose your favorites, lace up your hiking boots and start your adventure.
Prizes
All successful participants in the challenge will receive a surprise on presentation of the app or the winning email at the Tourist Information Office.
There are prizes to be won: Winterberg wine glass, Winterberg gin, mug with Winterberg silhouette and other small surprises.
Rules and Regulations
There are 2 ways to "collect" a point of interest:
1. when you are close enough to the point of interest, open the challenge in the app and click "check in".
2. record a track near the point of interest. The app will automatically add it to the challenge. The track must be in the qualifying activity "Hiking" and recorded with the Outdooractive app or a partner app.
The GPS reception of the smartphone must be activated, location services must be allowed so that tracking or navigation can be carried out in the app.
Terms and Conditions
The challenges are based on Central European Time.
To take part in a challenge, the "Hiking" activity must be recorded in the Outdooractive app or in a partner app.
The guidelines of the Outdooractive community must be followed, including health and travel restrictions in the selected region.
Reaching the challenge goal does not automatically lead to receiving a prize. In the event of a prize draw, users who achieve the challenge goal and fulfill all the conditions to be met will have the opportunity to take part in a prize draw.
Prizes will not be awarded on the basis of placement within the ranking list or the first target to be achieved.
