From the Sulzenau Hut to Lake Sulzenau. From there, along the western shore over difficult rocky, earthy, and scree terrain, then over easy boulder and rock terrain to the start of the Sulzenau Glacier at an elevation of about 2,900 meters. From there, the glacier (in a rope team) can be traversed up to the summits (Zuckerhütl, Wilder Pfaff) (extremely crevasse-ridden). Beyond Sulzenausee, the terrain is pathless, unsecured, and unmarked—for experienced mountaineers only.

In the heart of the Zillertal Alps: probably no summit ascent in this wild mountain range features such an impressive glacier approach as the Roßruggspitze. Before the summit, a short climbing section awaits at the exposed rock barrier. A route for those who prefer to travel in the lonely, pristine high mountain terrain, including the associated seriousness. The crossing from the north is only possible with good crevasse coverage in the first half of summer.

Gut gehbar, an manchen Stellen natürlich ausgesetzt. Tolle Aussicht!
