The Pidinger Himmelsleiter
From the hiking parking lot in Urwies we follow the forest road towards Steiner Alm. After about 1.5 hours we reach a junction at a striking right curve, where a path leads up on the left. Shortly afterwards, signposts indicate the further way to the entry point. The climbing facility is very demanding and requires climbers with strong fitness and experience! Strenuous and beautiful via ferrata tour. Please get information about the Pidinger via ferrata at the hiking parking lot. The descent via the Steinernen Reiter is black and mostly unsecured. To avoid rushing, plan about 1.5 hours to the start of the via ferrata, just over 3 hours on the via ferrata, and 3 hours back via the Steinernen Reiter. Additionally, there are breaks in between.
