    Sehr abwechslungsreiche Wanderung in einer eindrücklichen, wunderschönen Umgebung. Diese Tour ist (deshalb?) auf dem Wanderplaner mindestens 3-Mal beschrieben. Leider fehlt die Variante der umgekehrten Richtung. Wenn man eine längere Anreise hat, empfiehlt sich die Anreise via Engelberg mit Übernachtung auf der Blackenalp (zurzeit ein hervorragender Service), und am zweiten Tag die Fortsetzung nach Brüsti/Attinghausen.

    Als "schwer" ist diese Tour eher puncto Ausdauer zu bezeichnen, aber nicht betreffend Streckenführung oder Singletrack Schwierigkeitsgrad. Die allermeiste Zeit führt die Tour über Forst (+2m Breite), nur vereinzelt werden einfache Singletracks befahren. Schwierige Singletrack Passagen gibt es in der Abfahrt nur an eins bis zwei Stellen. Das erwähnte Attribute "Freeride" ist meines Erachtens nicht zutreffend. Dafür wird der Tourfahrer von einem phänomenalen Bergpanorame mit einem äusserst interessanten Felsmassiv belohnt. Nicht umsonst zählt das Isenthal zu den schönsten und beeindruckendsten Tälern der Schweiz.

    Excellent route. I did this on 04.07.16. It's worth noting that the cable car does not take bikes after 10.00 am..... But there is a nice warm up ride up the valley to an unmanned cable car at Stäfelli which for 9chf will take your bike. Max 3 bikes, 4 people. As of yesterday the east side of the col at Surenenpass was still snow bound. As I was on my own I opted to turn back. An awesome decent :-) hope to ride this later in the year when the snow has melted
