A recent assessment by experts on site has revealed that a rock mass estimated at between 5,000 and 10,000 cubic metres is actively moving in the ‘Uf den Spitzen’ area. Due to the risk of falling rocks, the safety of all road users (cars, mopeds, cyclists, pedestrians, etc.) is at serious risk.
The relevant authorities have taken immediate action to close the road and the affected footpaths. The closure of the road and footpaths is, for the time being, indefinite.
The public is asked to observe the closure and avoid the affected area. The municipality of Erstfeld will provide further information as soon as it becomes available. Reason: Rockfall
