    Path is in a very good shape. The hike took us almost 4 hours, with only one steeper part. So overall very smooth walking on marked paths. It is mostly in the shadow and through forest, but you get chances for very nice views.

    Bel itinéraire ! Le sens de la boucle est parfait. Nécessite d'être à l'aise dans les ravins de graviers fortement pentus ! Retour par le canyon un peu monotone... Superbe vue depuis le sommet sur les sommets enneigés et même les sommets de la côte Marocaine.

    Schöne Tour mit wunderbaren Ausblick. Mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln etwas schwierig aus Granada erreichbar. Wir wollten mit der Linie 275 nach Cumpres Verdes, die fuhr an dem Tag aber gar nicht (entgegen den Aussagen von Online Fahrplan und Google Maps). wir sind dann auf die Linie 183 und 182 umgestiegen, um nach Laúd zu fahren. Die 182 hat uns leider aber auch im Stich gelassen. Also sind wir von der Station Ctra. de Monachil 6 gestartet. Die Tour wird dann deutlich länger - in Summe ca. 25 km und zusätzlich 400 hm, ist aber machbar für Wanderer mit guter Kondition und der Weg ab Laúd ist sehr schön mit tollen Aussichtspunkten.

    Vorab, auf Grund der Witterung haben wir es leider nicht bis zum Gipfel geschafft. Wir sind morgens gegen 6 Uhr an der Universitario Albergue gestartet. Am Vortag hatten wir die Tour zum Pico Veleta unternommen. Der Aufstieg bis zur ersten Refugio war sehr mühsam. In der Nacht zuvor gab es noch einmal etwa 5-10 cm Neuschnee, außerdem war es sehr windig mit starken Böen. Kurz nach 9 Uhr waren wir dann an der ersten Refugio und das Wetter hat sich beruhigt. Da wir 17 Uhr den Bus zurück nach Granada nehmen wollten war uns an dieser Stelle klar, dass wir es zeitlich wohl nicht mehr bis zum Gipfel und zurück schaffen würden, also haben wir einfach die verschneite Landschaft genossen. Unter prallen Sonnenschein sind wir dann noch etwas weiter gegangen, die Sonne hat den Schnee dann bereits ab 10 Uhr sehr nass und schwer werden lassen. Kurz vor der Collada del Lobo sind wir ungekehrt, der südwestliche Hang unter dem man läuft (unterhalb des Cerro de los Machos) hatte hier bereits erste kleinere Schneerutschungen, die uns zu heikel wurden. Alles in allem trotzdem eine sehr schöne Tour. Die 12 Stunden sind ein guter zeitlicher Ansatz, bei guter Witter sicherlich auch schnell machbar. Aber Vorsicht das Wetter ist tückisch. Scheint die Sonne, ist Sie unerbitterlich, gleichzeitig kann es sehr schnell zu wolkenbildung und schlechter Sicht kommen oder Niederschläge.

    Wir haben die Tour am 25.05.23 gemacht. Dafür sind wir mit dem Bus von Granada zur Universitario Albuerge gefahren. Wir sind kurz nach 10 Uhr an der Albuerge gestartet und waren nach etwa 3 Stunden bei gutem Wetter am Gipfel. Die Wege sind nicht markiert aber gut erkennbar, da es Fahrwege fast bis zum Gipfel sind. Ab etwa 3000 hm lag noch einiges an Schnee, da es Tage zuvor nochmal etwa 30 cm Neuschnee gab. Auf dem Abstieg ist das Wetter dann sehr schnell umgeschlagen: Schneefall bzw. ab ca. 2700 hm Regen und wenig Sicht. In Summe haben wir etwas mehr als 5 Stunden für Auf- und Abstieg gebraucht. Es empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall ausreichend Getränke und Sonnenschutz sowie wetterfeste Kleidung dabei zuhaben. Auch wenn die Wege befestigt sind, sollten Bergschuhe unbedingt zur Ausrüstung gehören. Wir hatten zusätzlich Gerödel dabei, was die verschneiten bzw. teilweise vereisten Passagen vereinfacht hatte.
