This is one of the best hikes we did in Norway! It has everything: amazing views, a nice challenge, some scrambling... We hiked in the opposite direction: took the 9:30 boat and hiked back to base. NOTES: (1) book the boat tickets in advance. It can get busy. (2) You cannot park near the boat ramp; you park 2km away and take the shuttle out walk. take this into account when planning the hike (3) There is a quite long and very steep part where Troy use you hand to climb. Be warned.

Anbefales.

Bitte beachten: Hier gibt es Adler Brutplätze. Siehe Info: Golden eagle nests at Knutshøe — wait until after July 1st, https://ut.no/kart/tur/114763/knutshe-besseggens-tffe-lillebror Published by the Norwegian Tourist Association on May 1, 2025 Knutshøe is a current breeding location for golden eagles . To avoid disturbance, we recommend that you wait until after July 1st before visiting. Golden eagles start pairing as early as February-March, and it takes little disturbance for the birds to abandon their breeding plans. After laying eggs, the parents are important in protecting the eggs and chicks from hypothermia and overheating. The chicks need food several times a day. In the event of repeated or prolonged disturbances, it may take too long for the parents to be able to come to the nest undisturbed for the necessary follow-up. The chicks become more robust as they grow and develop better plumage. The most vulnerable period is until July 1. However, the young will not be able to fly until well into the summer. Be considerate of the birdlife no matter when and where you go.
