Hiroshima (city)

Hiroshima is home to two famous UNESCO World Heritage Sites: the Atomic Bomb Dome and Aki no Miyajima. The Atomic Bomb Dome is a symbol of the tragedy caused by nuclear weapons, and has become a symbol from Hiroshima to the world of the importance of lasting peace.

Hiroshima has recovered from the devastation of World War II and is now the largest city in Chugoku and Shikoku. In addition to the city itself, other areas of Hiroshima offer a variety of attractions, such as Onomichi, known for its hills, Kure, a naval city, and Shobara, with its many beautiful natural features, including the Teishakukyo Gorge.

Nice hike up to Misen-san, even walking a lot of stairs. Made it as varian by going the Momiyidani-trail down. Making a short stop at Miyama Shrine on the way up to the top is highly recommended.
