    Wir sind die Tour nur teilweise nachgefahren: von Isola nach Madesimo, lago di Montespluga, Cardinello-Schlucht, Isola. Ja, die Cardinelloschlucht haben wir grossteils zu Fuss gemacht - ca 25 Minuten, nur einige wenige Teilstücke sind wir gefahren. Je weiter runter umso fahrbarer wurde es. Wir sind dann nicht dem Track auf die andere Talseite gefolgt, sondern auf der linken Seite geblieben, hier dann ein gut fahrbarer Wiesentrail bis zu den ersten Häusern. Für uns eine wunderbare Runde, vielen Dank für die Anregung und GPS-Track.

    Ein sehr abwechslungsreicher Weitwanderweg! Wir haben ihn in allen Facetten genossen! Aber es stimmt, den Straßenlärm (vor allem auf den ersten beiden Etappen) muss man einfach ausblenden können. Dafür: Wasserfälle, kühles Wasser, schmale Pfade, aufregende Schluchten, und auch (fast) immer die Möglichkeit, den Weg bei zu großer Hitze mit dem öffentlichen Bus abkürzen zu können! Dazu die hervorragende Ausschilderung des Weges! Schöne Unterkünfte unterstreichen die Einzigartigkeit dieses Weitwanderwegs. SEHR empfehlenswert!

    one of the most scenic hikes in the area. amazing views all the way. we prefer to do the longer version, though: leave the car at Canpodolcino, take the bus to Madesimo, walk to the refugi, then take the obvious path down to Canpodolcino.

    Probably our favorite hike in this area (an area rich in fantastic hikes). The hike has everything: adventure, views, lakes, marmots... It passes the border between Switzerland and Italy several times. NOTE: Some rock scrambling is involved, so you need to be sure footed. The path is very well marked, though. If you don't want to scramble, or if you want an easier version, then park at the Swiss-Italian border and walk clockwise to the lake (Lago Azure). It is signposted from there, and is an easier walk.

    Ab in den Süden! Heute gehts hauptsächlich abwärts und das nicht zu knapp. Schöne und lange Tour, stets am Wasser entlang, tolle Ausblicke und hübsche Dörfer mit Bewohner die uns Wasserfläschchen reichten. Chiavenna ein kleines und sehr schönes Städtchen. Perfekt um die gelungenen 4-Tages Wandertour zu beenden. Wir übernachteten im Hotel San Lorenzo, und auch die Pizzas haben uns gemundet. Empfehlenswert. Wir nahmen den Palm Express (Postauto) der am schönen Comersee entlang bis nach Lugano fährt und gelangten so in nur 4:15 Stunden nach Hause. Die Via Spluga hat uns begeistert und in allen Belangen zu glücklichen Wanderer gemacht. Es waren vier fantastische Tage :-). Danke!

    Tag drei von vier und nun gehts aufwärts - anfangs der Skipiste entlang. Insgesamt gut machbar da nicht zu steil. Passstrasse teilweise hörbar, aber nicht störend. Auf der Passhöhe hat es kein Restaurant, dafür Weitblick nach Italien :-). Wenig Schatten. Unbedingt in Monte Spluga rasten und sich Kaffee und zbsp. hausgemachte Gnocchi mit Salbeibutter gönnen. Die wildromantische Cardinello Schlucht ist traumhaft. Lange Tour, viele Höhenmeter, doch jeder Meter ist es wert. Wir empfehlen in Isola in der Locanda Cardinello zu übernachten (Raum 102) und auch gleich dort zu speisen um vom Hausherrn Martino vieles interessantes über das Haus aus dem 16. Jahrhundert zu erfahren.

    Traumhafte und aussichtsreiche Tour. Am 26.5.22 noch einige (passierbare) Altschneefelder auf dem Plateau. Anspruchsvolle Wanderung, bei der Orientierung notwendig ist.

    Die Route ist super! Habens jetzt über Pfingsten gemacht. Leider hat es im letzten Teil ein Fehler in dieser Route. Wir mussten den Bach samt Gepäck queren und auf der Hauptstrasse ca. 2km gehen. Was eigentlich so nicht der Sinn wäre. Auf Schweizmobil sieht man den unterschied...
