Witzin

Witzin is a small village situated on the edge of the Sternberger Seenland Nature Park. The landscape here is characterised by rolling hills and green forests, perfect for hiking or cycling tours. Those who love the water can also take a boat trip on the nearby lakes.

One of Witzin's main attractions is the Schlosshotel Bredow with its impressive towers and beautiful garden. Here you can not only stay overnight, but also host weddings or other events.

For cultural highlights, we recommend a visit to the "Alte Burg" museum, which offers insights into the history of the region as well as presenting art exhibitions.

If it rains, there are still plenty of ways to use your time wisely - for example, you can relax in the nearby spa or visit one of the cosy cafés and try local specialities such as fish soup or pike-perch.

In summer, you should definitely take part in a canoe trip on the Warnow River or plan a trip to the Baltic Sea (approx. 45 minutes away by car). In winter, on the other hand, ice skating rinks invite you to go ice skating and various Christmas markets in the surrounding towns such as Rostock are definitely worth seeing.

The most beautiful view of Witzin and the surrounding landscapes is from the tower of the St. Marien church, which can also be used as a vantage point.
