Wertheim is located at the confluence of the Tauber River and the Main River and offers a breathtaking landscape of rolling hills, forests and vineyards. Wertheim's old town is known for its picturesque 16th-century half-timbered houses as well as the castle complex high on a cliff above the town.

The most important sights include Wertheim Castle with its museum on the history of the region and the Glass Museum in Bronnbach Castle. Culture enthusiasts should also not miss the annual Mozart Festival or the international street theatre festival "Umsonst & Draußen".

    Wunderschöne Passagen oberhalb von Boxtal und bei Wessental. Ruhige, sympathische Gegend. Bei Rauenberg und vor allem zwischen Wessental und Boxtal führt die Wanderung leider kilometerlang über öde Forstwege. Ansonsten urige Pfade, die zum Teil mit Unmengen von Steinmännchen und Steinflanken verziert worden sind. Beschaulich. Die Ausblicke beim Naturdenkmal Hohestein und auf den letzten Metern vor dem Abstieg nach Boxtal sind klasse. Wessental ist ein Weiler mit dem Charme: Gib mir eine Hütte mit Garten und Ofen dort - und ich will den Rest meiner Tage hier verbringen. Leider keine nennenswerte Gastronomie mehr entlang der Wanderung. Dafür immer wieder reizende Rastplätze. Beschilderung ist zuverlässig, wenngleich man stets genau hinschauen muss. Fazit: empfehlenswert, gerne wieder.

    Sehr schöne und abwechslungsreiche Trails in verschiedenen Wäldern. Von flowig bis ruppig über sprungvoll ist alles dabei was das Herz begehrt. Wem das zu viel ist hat jedoch trotzdem immer die Möglichkeit die Hindernisse zu umfahren. An manchen Stellen musste ich die Trails leider umfahren, da dort Bäume gefällt wurden. Ansonsten wundervolle Trails die mit viel Liebe gebaut wurden. Zudem kommt man an vielen schönen Aussichspunkten und Orten vorbei. Tolle Strecke und ganz klare Empfehlung! 🤙🏽

    Es ist eigentlich eine schöne Tour. Der Anstieg nach Wildensee über Schotter ist etwas mühsam, aber fahrbar. Nicht zu verstehen ist der Weg von Faulbach über eine Fußgängerbrücke des Stauwehrs. Hierzu müsste man eine sehr hohe und steile Treppe mit dem Rad unterm Arm hochsteigen, was die Wenigsten schaffen werden, mit Schwerem E-Bike schon gar nicht. Man bleibt besser durchgehend auf der rechten Mainseite.

    Sehr schöne, landschaftlich reizvolle, wilde Wege aber komplett gehbare Strecke! Leider hat uns zu dieser Jahreszeit der Ausblick übers Taubertal gefehlt - die Aussicht auf's Taubertal war mit Bäumen und Sträuchern zugewachsen. Die Burg Wertheim war aber immer wieder gut zu sehen.
