Geographical location and special features Weinsberg is situated at the foot of the Löwenstein mountain in the northern part of the Heilbronn district. The town is surrounded by rolling hills and offers a picturesque landscape with vineyards, forests and rivers. Not only the idyllic nature, but also the historic buildings make Weinsberg a special place.

Tourist-relevant sights. Visit Weibertreu Castle from the 12th century or the tower of St. Michael's Church for a breathtaking view of the city. The city park invites you to relax and the German Two-Wheeler Museum displays bicycles from times gone by.

    Mit der DB bis Heilbronn Hauptbahnhof, von dort entweder mit Bus 1 oder Straßenbahn 4 bis Trappensee, dann zu Fuß der Eugen-Nägele-Str. entlang, auf dem Asphalt bleiben bis Jägerhaus. Die in den Wander-Apps eingezeichnete Strecke durch die Schlucht ist gesperrt. Die Stiege kaputt. Die gesamte Wanderung wird dadurch ca. 3 km länger. Viel Historie auf der Strecke. Der Beginn am Schilfsandsteinbruche ist sehr beeindruckend. Der Weg etwas matschig. Am Galgenberg schöne Aussicht in "The Länd". Auf dem Paradiesweg den Abstecher zur Advokatenstaffel unbedingt machen, schöne Blick auf die Weibertreu. Weiter zur Waldheide, sehr viele Infostelen. Es ist einem gar nicht mehr bewußt, was für eine Tragödie sich vor 40 Jahren hier abspielte. Man muß heute noch die Feuerwehrmänner aus Heilbronn loben, dass sie die Raketenstufe löschten. Vermutlich war ihnen die Gefahr nicht bekannt? Wenn man den Gedenkstein für die verünglückten GIs besuchen will, nicht auf dem Track bleiben. Beim ehemaligen Hangar, heute Schafstall ist er zu finden. Schöne Rundtour mit vielen Ausblicken und historischen Höhepunkten.

    Mit Bahn nach Weinsberg gefahren und dort die Tour begonnen. Zuerst auf die Weibertreu, historisch sehr interessant. Dann die Tour gewandert. shhöne Führung den Saubach entlang. Damnnhoch in den Wald. Kurz vor dem Jägerhaus durch den Schilfsandsteinbruch mit vielen Erklärungen. Geologisch sehr aufschlußreich. Dann an den herbstlich gefärbten Weinberghängen entlang. An der Kreuzung Heilbronner Keuperweg-Galgenberger Weg, rechts abgebogen und den fast parallel verlaufenden Waldweg gegangen. Der Track zeigte dann an, dass man rechts (Original Track links) abzweigen soll. Versucht, aber nach ca. 75 m umgestürzte Bäume, kein Durchkommen. Wieder zurück und nach ca. 1 km rechts abgebogen( Albvereinsmarkierung blauer Balken), über die Straße Burg Ried-Alte Heilbronner Straße zurück nach Weinsberg. Leider viel Asphalt, aber bei Novemberwetter akzeptabel.

    Diese Tour mache ich seit vielen Jahren immer gerne mal wieder, hauptsächlich im Herbst. Der Steinbruch ist imposant, der Ausblick über Heilbronn und die Weinberge herrlich. Ganz toll finde ich auch die Renaturierung der Waldheide nach dem Abzug der Amerikaner die diese 1985 beinahe zerstört hätten. Als Abschluss eignet sich das Jägerhaus mit schönem Biergarten und auch immer wieder Veranstaltungen.

    Sehr schöne Tour durch die Weinberge, für die ganze Familie, bei jedem Wetter geeignet. Einkehr im Hafenhaus der Schrebergärtenkolonie nach ca. 3,5 KM, sehr gutes Restaurant Jägerhaus mit super Biergarten nach ca. 8 Km, Eisdiele und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten am Ende der Tour, wenn man durch Weinsberg zum Parkplatz läuft.

    Richtig tolle MTB Strecke unmittelbar bei Heilbronn. Recht einfache Trails, aber das ist ja immer subjektiv. Ich bin die Strecke mit dem XC Hardtail gefahren und mit dem Rad war die Strecke perfekt. Eine Trailbike wäre meines Erachtens deutlich unterfordert. Insgesamt eine sehr tolle Strecke mit einem hohen Trailanteil.

    Schöne Tour, auch mal Pfade dabei, auf denen kaum jemand unterwegs ist. Bin von Heilbronn eingestiegen, man kann nach Belieben noch dranhängen oder verkürzen - hab den Steinbruch nich mitgenommen. Und wem das Vesper nicht reicht kann sich auf ne Pause im Jägerhaus freuen.
