Ulmen is located in the picturesque Cochem-Zell region between the Moselle and Rhine rivers. The area is known for its breathtaking scenery with rolling hills, green forests and idyllic riverbanks. This unique combination of natural and cultural treasures makes Ulmen a popular destination.

One of the most important sights is Ulmen Castle - an impressive 12th century castle complex with a rich history. The Eifel Volcano Museum is also worth a visit: here you can learn more about the volcanic history of this region.

Culture enthusiasts should also definitely not miss the annual Medieval Festival, during which the historic streets of Ulmen come to life.

For gourmets, this area offers many culinary delights such as hearty bacon or juicy game meat - both are typical of this region.

Outdoor activities are very popular here: hiking through the forests of the Eifel National Park or cycling along the Moselle loop are just a few ways to explore the area around Ulmen. In winter, the surrounding ski areas entice you with perfect conditions for winter sports.

Even in rainy weather, there is plenty to do in Ulmen. Visit the Cochem-Zell leisure pool or take a relaxing tour of one of the many museums and galleries in the town.

Whether you are a nature lover, culture enthusiast or sports fan - Ulmen is definitely worth a visit. Come by and experience for yourself why this area is considered one of the most beautiful places in Germany!

Wochenend-Etappen in drei Jahren.
