Geography: Ubstadt-Weiher is located in the Upper Rhine Plain between the Kraichgau and the Hardtwald. The municipality consists of the districts of Ubstadt and Weiher, which are separated by the nature reserve "Bruchsal-Waghäuseler Wasserschlösschen".

    Schöne und leichte Wanderung mit vielen Hohlwegen und einigen Aussichtspunkten. Der Rückweg nach der Altackerhohl erfolgt dann auf langweiligen breiten Waldwegen. Der Astronomiepark ist zwar schön angelegt, aber für den Wanderer eher uninteressant Der Pfannwaldsee ist schön, ein Abstecher entlang des Kleinen Kraichbachs zu den empfehlenswert.

    Warum hier von "Wohlfühl-Tour" die Rede ist, bleibt mir schleierhaft. Denn die durchaus knackigen Aufstiege und etliche Kilometer entlang stark befahrener Straßen schmälern den Wohlfühlfaktor doch erheblich. Die Tour bleibt für mich daher hinter anderen Vorschlägen des Kraichgau-Stromberg Tourismusvereins zurück (besser: 3-Bäche-Tour). Das erste Stück ab Bad Schönborn mit Verweilmöglichkeit im tollen Kurpark sowie der Weg über die Obstwiesen nach Östringen ist vielversprechend - bis zum Betonbauunternehmen am Ortseingang, das die Landschaft verschandelt und hier einfach nicht hingehört (wer genehmigt so etwas?!). Der Aufstieg zum Höhenzug zwischen Östringen und Odenheim hat es in sich; oben bieten sich dafür tolle Ausblicke ins Kraichgau ("Land der 1000 Hügel"). Schön zu fahren ist der Weg entlang des Katzbachs durchs beschauliche Odenheim (wer keine Seen mag, kann seine Badepause schon hier einlegen). Ab Odenheim geht es entlang der Kreisstraße weiter, die das Wohlfühlen erneut eintrübt. Der weitere Verlauf am kleinen Kraichbach bis zu den beschaulichen Örtchen Ober- und Unteröwisheim (sehenswert: Schloss Unteröwisheim) ist dann wieder landschaftlich reizvoll, ein Höhepunkt ist der nördliche Ausläufer der Kraichbachniederung. Anschließend muss man wieder ein unansehnliches Stück Weg an einer Landstraße hinter sich bringen. Hinter Ubstadt hat man gleich zwei Badeseen zur Auswahl, die im Sommer zum Abkühlen einladen (Hardtsee und Heidesee). Zum Abschluss geht es durch ein schattiges Waldstück wieder nordwärts nach Bad Schönborn, auf dem Weg wartet ein weiterer Badesee (Philippsee).

    Tolle Fahrrad Runde Fast immer an Bächen, Wiesen und Wäldchen entlang, gut ausgeschildert, trotz Vatertag nicht viel los. Ab und zu in verkehrsberuhigten Straße in Ortschaften. Sehr zu empfehlen. Immer eben bis auf einen 1 km langen Anstieg.
