The Hohlen- and Höhen circular route showcases many beautiful aspects of Ubstadt-Weiher, such as the nature trail, the Hirschhohle, Hochberghohle. Hollow ways are a typical landscape feature of the Kraichgau. The connecting alleyways carved themselves up to twelve meters deep into the loess soil. Several especially impressive hollow ways and a valuable nature reserve are the target of a hike on the trail. Rest areas are available at the Paulus Chapel or the Eisengrubenwald barbecue area, with a playground. Refreshment options include Sporthaus Zeutern, Pizzeria Da Toni, Weinschlauch, or the Vogelnest in Stettfeld.

    Roadbook

The path begins at the Zeutern cemetery. On the nature trail through the Hirschhohle, after about 300m we turn right to a side arm of the Altackerhohle (badger setts, rare herbs and flowers), then left to the edge of the forest. We turn right along the forest following the former Roman road. Then we take the second forest path to the left (after the water reservoir). At the end, we keep right again towards the Paulus Chapel. This is a good place to take a break. From the chapel, we continue on the paved path heading north to the water reservoir. Here you can already enjoy the view over Zeutern. Then we turn left until the forest begins, then we keep right. After about 100m on the left is the Eisengrubenwald hut with a playground. From the hut towards Zeutern until the first path, we turn left to the Schwedenbrunnen. On the field path, we continue to Stettfeld. Upon arriving in Stettfeld, we take the first street to the right and cross Zeuterner Straße. Then we walk over the Katzbach bridge and take the first turn right along the Katzbach. Here on the right side is the "Vogelnest" refreshment spot. We continue towards Zeutern, then turn left onto the Weinberghöhen, passing the wayside cross on the left to the highest point. Here we stand before the Flurbereinigung memorial plaque. We continue east to Langenbrückener Weg. Upon arrival, we take the path right to Besingstraße. After 300m, we turn left towards Östringen and after 70m right again into Hochberghohle. At the hollow, we take the first path to the right and then enjoy the view over Zeutern, then turn right twice until going left into Tiefelter Hohle (Franzosenhohle) and then right past the wayside shrine of the Kelterhalle. On Kapellenstraße, at the fork, we keep right, past the Marienkapelle to the town center. Here are the refreshment options Pizzeria Da Toni or Weinschlauch. In the last meters, we pass old town hall Zeutern until the cemetery where the circular hiking route started and now ends.
